We Are Here: HeART Lab x Bentway's Softer City
"We Are Here"
We Are Here is a mural project by HeART Lab, with art by Amanda Lederle. In a time of increasing social isolation in Toronto, the viewer is invited to think about public space and the ways that it can help to support connections to other people. Scan the QR codes on the map to hear the voices of artists, scientists, and mental health clinicians as they reflect on these themes of public space, loneliness, connection, and well-being. You will also be invited to share your own perspectives.
HeART Lab is located at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), Canada’s largest mental health teaching hospital and one of the world’s leading research centres in its field. This partnership with The Bentway reflects their vision of health redefined and dedication to patient, family and community well-being.
On display from May 24-October 6, 2024 as a part of The Bentway’s Softer City. The Bentway’s summer public art exhibition invites you to a series of soft encounters, where “softness” is embraced as a collective strategy for building a socially connected city.
